About Us
From farming backgrounds and as newlyweds, Rory and Karen lived in Pear Tree Cottage in the late 1980s and then moved into the “main house” on Elton Farm in August of 1991 when Rory was appointed to manage the pasture fed dairy operation and Karen, the farm books. Since then they have developed the farm, together with their employees, and raised their two children and plenty of pets. Their son has “come home to roost” with his family and also shares in the work and growth of the mixed farming operation and family holiday destination that it is today.

Making Memories
A sensory escape to float, fish, swim or boat. Relax, read or nap in the sun. Dance in the rain. Walk in the twilight. Cook and stargaze under African skies. Gather at the fireside to laugh, play to win or to toast a marshmallow or two.
